Sleep Study

It’s 3:30 am and I’m right now in a hospital having a sleep study. Obviously I’m not asleep. I highly doubt they’re gonna have enough data. Oh well, screw it. I’m certainly not doing this again.

  1. I had a 2 minute finger pulse oximetry test while still in the hospital. passed with 95% something or other. I really don’t believe they are useful for apnea, by the time you’d have a low enough level down to your fingertip you’d be dead. I had a regular sleep test, mild apnea, stopped breathing 6.5 times an hour. Got a CPAP, hated it, having to forcefully breath out against the air pressure coming in was bad. I could not relax enough and still breath out. One night I spent 2 hours trying to get to sleep and after that I said, screw it, I’ll live with apnea

  2. How did this go? I have always wondered if a person could actually go to sleep for a sleep study and my guess was no. Thinking of you, Cuz.
