Ok, after a stroke your biceps are probably going to work a lot more than your triceps. This doesn’t mean those muscles are stronger, they probably are, but they’re still weak, you can’t control them. Biceps bend the arm and triceps straighten the arm. So you want to get both muscle groups stronger. You really, really want to work out the triceps because you want to overcome that spasticity in the biceps, you want to be able to voluntarily straighten the elbow. If you can, do these exercises, you can do all of these with dumbbells.
