I was just on the phone with my best friend and she said something awesome. You know the phrase “time heals all wounds?” Well, I don’t think that’s true. Time won’t heal certain stuff. She said “time doesn’t make things better, it makes it different.” So true.

True, true, true. Since having a stroke, time has made ME different.
I’m like unrecognizable from the person I was 2 years ago.
From my point of view, I’m identical cognitively, but not physically, emotionally or spiritually. my trust and confidence are damaged, but philosophically, I’ve grown enough to become a far better writer and person, something that probably would not have happened had I continued on my easy path.
from others’ points of view, Iam perceived in a variety of ways … Some accurate, I think, but some not.
Yep, I would say all of the exact same stuff about myself.
How true Amy. I always find it fascinating how our normal evolves.
Oh yeah, my normal is NOTHING like I had envisioned.
