I just gave my neighbor exercises for his jaw so I figured I’d write about it. Everyone always says “I have TMJ.” Yeah, everybody has TMJ. In fact, everybody has 2 of them. TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint. It’s the joint that connects your upper and lower jaw. Mine clicks really loudly when I chew. It’s never hurt though, and it doesn’t cause any range of motion issues. There’s stuff you can do to make the muscles surrounding this joint stronger and stretch it out just like you can stretch and strengthen every other joint in the body. Correct your posture, it’ll help TMJ pain tremendously. Do these. Then these.
