Getting your rotator cuff strong is probably the most important thing you can do for the shoulder. BUT, you have to get these muscles strong too. The scapula is the shoulder-blade. If the scapula isn’t stabilized then doing the rotator cuff exercises won’t work because you’ll be engaging the wrong muscles. There are a whole bunch of muscles that surround the shoulder-blade that need to be strengthened. Here, do these. And these. This is important.
