Meditation Practice

by Amy

The more I read, the more I’m convinced that meditation is the secret to recovering from a brain injury.  Here, here, and here.  There is a mind-blowing amount of research that supports the beneficial effects of meditation on the brain.  So neurologists, what’s it gonna take?  What’s it going to take for you to start recommending a daily meditation practice to your patients?  Apparently, a mountainload of evidence is not enough so what will it take?  Please, please tell me.  I will find it and give it to you.

Please go here for a better, affordable alternative to learning Transcendental Meditation.

I think its going to take strokes in those neurologists, maybe the president of the American Neurological Association. You could ask for volunteers.

    Good morning Amy,
Thanks for all the meditation info. I didn’t see a box on the right to click on.

I’m not sure if I’m the anomaly, or maybe I’m just not doing it right, but I didn’t notice any improvement after a year + of daily meditation. I was completely hoping, expecting it to help so at the very least….where’s the placebo? Nothing, zero, no improvement! 😦 I was very disappointed. I’m probably not doing something right, who knows?

Elizabeth……you’ve made a near full recovery. I’d say you’ve had some improvement.
